Moving cable input to another room

Hello,
I live in an apartment and the coax plug in for cable is in the living room but I want to move my router into my office. There is a phone plug in along the same wall in the office, so would I be able to just unscrew the plates and pull the coax wire and bring it to the office or would I have to get an Xfinity tech involved?

Unless there’s a coax cable behind a wall plate, unless your apartment is different than every other apartment, there’s nothing to pull

Have you taken the plates off yet? If you can get a live coax signal, in a different room, go for it. Things are a little more difficult, access-wise, for apartments so you may need a tech out after the pandemic subsides

I haven't taken plates off yet, wanted to see what people had to say on here before I started doing work.

So I wouldn't be able to fish the cable running to the living room back down the inside of the wall and have it here in the office?

From my experience apartment wiring is stapled in, you’re welcome to try, it’s your apartment. Any reason why it has to be moved?
