Motorola MG7550 firmware update

I am thinking of buying an MG7550 modem to replace my rented Comcast modem. According to Motorola, firmware updates are provided by the ISP, not by Motorola.

The MG7550 is approved by Comcast for use on its networks.

Does anyone know -- for certain -- if Comcast automatically provides (pushes) firmware updates for this particular modem? I don't want to get stuck with old firmware.

Thanks

Yes. The ISP is solely responsible for updating the firmware.

Thanks EG. Only reason that I ask is, I know that the ISP is "responsible" for updating the firmware, but I was wondering if Comcast actually does so. So I am hoping to hear from some Comcast customers who have some actual experience with this. Are you a Comcast customer, and has Comcast kept up with firmware updates on your modem?

Thanks again.
