Motorola MB7420 still compatible?

Hello, I just want to see if I could still activate a Motorola MB7420 on Comcast residential? It's for my parents, they have a 300mbps plan so should be within limits I believe. They are very light internet users. Let me know, thanks.

Hi train_wreck ! Long time... Hope you are well old buddy ! That modem no longer appears on their compatible list here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/internet/customerowned so I don't think that they will provision it for service. I could be wrong. This is Comcast here..... Perhaps an employee will chime in here with an answer. Good luck !

Hey EG, always a treat seeing the flyin' modem on here! Yeah I know it's not on the list, but sometimes a rep can push something through. Sadly, I tried with both calling into the phone line and the app, the nice rep on the phone said it was activated in his system but it never could exit from Walled Garden, then I tried with the app and it said it wasn't compatible. Too bad, they'll have to get a new modem, and have you SEEN the prices on modems lately??? ANyway thanks friend!

Hi there, @train_wreck! It's great you are helping your folks! @EG  is spot on. We no longer support the MB7420 so you would need another model. On the link @EG sent, if you slide down the page to the purple See All Modems button, you can see the full list of compatible modems. Please let us know if you have any additional concerns.
