Modem Users Name and Password

Dear Sir/Madam, I recently became a subscriber of your internet service and the Modem used to facilitate your service is my personal unit. I have been attempting to access the unit without success due to the fact that I do not have the correct Username and Password. This is a result of the fact that the unit was set up by your technician and the Username and Password information was not passed on to me. Consequently, I am using this medium to officially request that you kindly furnish me with the relevant Username and Password for my existing modem.
A timely response will be greatly appreciated.

You could probably look in the user guide for the device, see what the default username/password is and how to reset the device to factory defaults.  If you don't have a UG, it should be available on the Xfinity web site.

Try hard resetting the device to factory defaults by pressing and holding in the recessed reset button on the rear for 30 seconds. The user name and the password will now become the defaults of admin and password. You will lose any customized settings, and they will need to be re-configured from scratch.

There is no standard process. All I was saying is that you'll have to re-do any of the settings that you may have customized (changed) from their original default values because now they will be the default values once again.
