Modem not powering on

We just had a power outage and now back on but modem is not powering on. Network app states network outage as well. Will that cause the modem to

not powering on?

You didn't say what you have for a modem, but there is usually a power indicator of some kind, or led that illuminates when you plug it in.  If you look up the modem number, you may be able to find an LED table for it, or post the model number on the CE/FCC sticker on it, and maybe someone here could find it for you.

It may have given up the ghost with the power fail.  You get a spike down a power line when that happens sometimes.

Hello and welcome to Comcast @user_2d2878. I am sorry to hear you had a power interruption and causing your modem to not power on. You are in the right place and we are happy to take a look at your account. An interruption will not cause the modem to not turn on. Usually the modem power light would be flashing in an interruption.
