Modem log errors: Time sync & REG-RSP-MP

Been getting these errors on my brand new Arris SB8200. I first noticed this because I had a warning on my modem interface saying that the time was out of sync. Sure enough, my modem is 1 hour behind and no matter how many times I try resetting it, nothing fixes it. I also noticed that it is not connecting to DOCSIS 3.1 on the upstream (is that even available?). Below are my logs and stats on my downstream/upstream. Connectivity to the internet seems to be ok most of the time and it hasn’t seemed to have lost any connection on its own since I installed it. Still, the error messages don’t give me a lot of comfort. Any help would be appreciated.

That's normal. Modems don't do Daylight Savings Time. That doesn't affect performance in any way. Only the date / timestamps on the log entries. And Comcast does not yet offer DOCSIS 3.1 / OFDM modulation on the upstream.

A small amount of error / event messages is normal as long as you're not having any actual connectivity problems. And the signal stats were all good at that snapshot in time. There are zero uncorrectable bit errors. This is not to say that something infrequent / intermittent could be going on with the connection.

I say that because those default 1970 timestamps on the error log entries occur when for what ever the reason may be, the modem isn't talking to the TOD (Time Of Day) server. This may be being caused by spurious noise leaking into the line(s) somewhere.

This message indicates that the modem has temporarily lost synchcronization with the cable system: "SYNC Timing Synchronization failure".
