Modem Drops Connection After Outage

Hi.

I have had spotty trouble with my home internet since an upgrade in my area. There was also a prolonged outage that followed. I decided to reboot everything and my modem will not connect. I had no issues prior to the upgrade and the outage. I am wondering if the upgrade has made my current modem incompatible. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, what Xfinity Gateway, or customer owned modem do you have?
