Modem Connection Question
Can I attach the modem that I use for Internet access to any of the coax outlets in my house or are there specific coaax outlets for TV and others specific for Internet? Our Internet modem has always been connected to one coax outlet since it was originally set up, but now we would like to move the modem to a different place in our house, which has a currently unused coax outlet and just hook it up and go?

You can only attach the modem to an active coax outlet for it to work. If there is a splitter where the Comcast service enters your house and places the signal on multiple coax cables, then you might be able to move your modem to another outlet. It could be that the main service entry in your basement, garage, driveway pedestal or wherever is connected directly to a specific rooms' coax cable. You can move the modem and see if it sees a signal or you can trace your coax cables back to where they are connected and maybe change there.
