modem and router upgrade

I'm purchasing a new modem and router. How do I reach customer support to check if they are compatible with Xfinity, and are appropriate for my internet speed before purchasing

Also see the "All Compatible Devices" link near the bottom of the Devices page (at the moment it points to https://assets.xfinity.com/assets/dotcom/projects/cix-4997_compatible-devices/2025.03.06 Full List of Compatible Devices.pdf, but this changes from time to time). This PDF lists additional devices and indicates which ones are compatible with the higher upload speeds introduced in 2023.

They don't classify stand-alone routers. Only straight cable modems and combination modem/router gateway devices;
