Modem activation

I have tried multiple times switching from my xfinity gateway to arris surfboard s33. I have internet with the gateway but when I try activating my S33 it wont connect and my xfinity app says it can’t find my modem.

Check that the front or the top panel indicator light(s) is / are steadily lit. 

Then try calling 1-855-652-3446. That is their self-install device activation line.


If that doesn't work for you, you can call 1-800-comcast and tell a rep that you would like to have a new modem provisioned for service. Have the RF / CM / HFC MAC address and the serial number of it handy when you call.

@EG​ the self activation line didn’t help any as I had called it multiple times before my post. I tried self activating with the app just to see and it connected. Not sure if it was going through updates when I initially tried but everything is up and running now
