MOCA not allowed?

I had a technician come to my house and disconnect my personal MOCA equipment and tell me I can't have it connected or else Xfinity will disconnect my service. Is that correct what he told me? Also he told me he never heard of MOCA so that tells me his skill level.

It's a feature in the firmware of Xfinity gateways enabled by default.  The information was incorrect.  You should also have an MoCA "point of entry" or PoE filter installed where the cable enters your premises to isolate your network from your neighbors and keep their MoCA devices from connecting to your network.  Xfinity's MoCA implementation has no security.
