Moca Network

I have an Xfinity Gateway XB8 connected to coax on the first floor. I have coax that used to be used for TV in the basement attached to a splitter with the source coming from coax from a box attached to the back of the house. I also have three Deco X60 models. I want to use the existing coax to create a hardwired network in the home. I know I could enable Moca on the cable modem but with only ethernet ports how do I take the internet signal and send it over the coax cables in the basement? I know I need to get a new splitter in the basement because the current one is not Moca compliant.

Could I add a POE to the line going into the cable modem and not enable Moca through the gateway. Then run an ethernet cord to one of the Deco devices and run an ethernet cable out to a Moca adapter to coax and then run a new coax line down to the basement and connect to the splitter. Then I could add Moca adapters at each point where I would want hardwired internet such as another Deco device?
