MoCA Advice to Xfinity

Update your MoCA compatible gateways.

They wreak havoc when self installed with no POE MoCA filter to block neighbor's MoCA traffic.

And the feature cannot be turned off permanently or at all once activated (deactivation with gateway disconnected failed).

Clearly you don't trust self-install of the POE MoCA filter so try VLANs to separate MoCA traffic to avoid network collisions between neighbors (bush league stuff to allow this to happen).

To any one else looking for a temporary solution to a POE MoCA filter to block unwanted MoCA traffic try changing your gateway IP address.

Otherwise great service, when not disrupted by unwanted MoCA traffic.

Great Community too (special shout out to EG)

Thanks & Regards
