MOCA Adapter Setup - Help Needed
Hi all!
I'm new to the community and quite illiterate with terminology - so please be patient and kind!
I recently purchased a pair of Motorola MM1025 adapters to create a MOCA network to our basement since the wireless signal is spotty. I did a local test of the adapters without issue. However, I can't seem to link the adapters over coax.
Here is what I did.
ISP comes into the house in the basememt and goes to Commscope CSMAPDU9VP splitter.
Upstairs wall coax: run coax cable directly to MOCA adapter into the network port. Run Ethernet to router/modem combo (Netgear c7000v2). Run coax from router/modem combo to Xfinity tv box.
Downstairs wall coax: run coax cable directly to MOCA adapter into the network port. Run Ethernet to Smart TV.
This is still not creating a link.
I'm so confused on how this isn't working.
Any help/guidance would be incredible!
