MiM router LAN port traffic?

Hello Comcast,

I see many of these. What is this referring to? Since I can't have an app to manage my modem connection, I can't figure out what is at 10.0.0.177 -- What is all this port mapping?

Is this some Man in the middle issue going on?

@user_mlcoea We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums. Port mapping and port forwarding are one and the same. Port forwarding allows online services or other devices to with other public or private computers or services. Since you are using your own networking equipment, you would need to reach out to your modem and router manufacturer with assistance on how to configure and manage port forwarding.

I do want to mention that with our Xfinity gateway we are able to offer support, and you can easily manage all of your network settings within our amazing Xfinity app.

Hello,

I will post once I get an answer regarding this issue since I looked and found nothing as well.

I would like to reiterate how stupid Comcast/Xfinity is behaving in regards to requiring me to install an APP on my phone in order to control a local router.

At least having access to the router using their website like it used to be would be sufficient to control it.

I suspect though that after I post a solution it will be removed by Xfinity since this cannot be the only time it has happened.

Perhaps I am special though.
