mesh solution that works best with Xfinity's Arris TG1682G wifi/modem
I will be traveling to my in-laws house soon to help with their wifi internet weak spots issue.
I'd like to buy them something that will easily extend their wifi capability to the further reaches of their home.
Currently their Arris TG682g wifi/modem is located in their study on one side of the home and their internet reach doesn't quite make it to their dining/kitchen area.
It cannot be moved from that study so relocating it isn't an option.
I need to get them something that requires no maintenance on their part. Once installed by me, I won't see them for months at a time.
So, if unplugging and plugging back in is a viable "fix" for some type of extender if it goes down, then that would be easy for them since they are quite elderly and have zero computer skills.
What might work best? A simple mesh system (2 devices) one near the kitchen area and one downstairs?
Any thoughts on something easy and not too expensive would be appreciated.

I just spoke (chat) with an Xfinity agent and am not clear on what he was telling me, maybe someone here can clear it up.
He said if my in-laws upgrade to "Advance"?, it would be $11 extra a month and would include 3 xfi pods, which are the 3 mesh devices I assume.
He said they would be able to keep their own equipment, just would need to go to the extra $11 plan.
Anyone here can explain more to me?
Is it possible for me to spend the one time $$ to just buy the pods without having to add $11 /month to their already high bill?
Any insight on this setup versus buying another brand of mesh device would be appreciated.
