macbook pro either doesn’t connect to WiFi gateway or it disconnects soon after connecting

For 1-yr +, my Macbook Pro had no problem with internet connectivity issues with the Xfinity gateway.

I have a Macbook Pro, 2021

Apple M1 Max chip

macOS is Golden Gate 27.0.1

No other device is having this problem: not my iPhone, not my iPad. Only my Macbook Pro.

This problem has been persistent over the past  1 month. I thought the macOS Tahoe 26.??? was the problem as others reported wifi connectivity issues with that macOS.

Unfortunately updating to the macOS Golden Gate 27.0.1 did not resolve this issue.

I have done all of the things recommended to resolve such an issue without any luck (i.e. reset the gateway, forgotten the network, etc)
