MacBook not staying associated with profile

I love the Xfinity Internet Profile feature, especially how I can turn the wifi off at a certain time. Unfortunately, every couple of days my MacBook Air keeps showing up as a new device, so I have to manually add it to my profile. This happens all the time and even if I add it to my profile with the wifi time limit, it may appear as a new device that night when the wifi is supposed to be off for the device. I cannot set a wifi schedule for the whole network since I am not the only person in my household. I called Apple Support and there was nothing in my settings that stood out. I've been trying to call Xfinity Support but lord knows that's impossible. I'd love to figure this out!

user_yoql5c Welcome to our community forum! Thank you for reaching out so we can help with your Xfinity profile feature. Do you have iCloud Private Relay enabled on your Macbook Air? If you’re an xFi customer and you turn on iCloud Private Relay, some of your xFi features won’t work or will be degraded. If you’ve turned on the full suite of xFi features, including Advanced Security, Parental Controls, and Active Time Details, and you wish to continue using those features, you shouldn’t turn on iCloud Private Relay when connected to your home WiFi network.

I checked and it says I have iCloud Private Relay turned off. I double checked my network settings and I did have "Limit IP address tracking" turned on. It sounded like the sort of thing that might cause an issue with the xFi features I'm having trouble with. I turned it off, so maybe that's what the issue was?

Have you noticed the same issue of the device needed to be maunally added after you've made the recent change in your settings?

@XfinityBradM I'm no longer sure if that's the issue. The profile is now in downtime and the app displays that my phone is on downtime but my other devices associated with the profile (ipad, computer) are not. I tried assigning them to another profile and then back to the one in downtime but that did not fix the issue.

Any chance you've deleted the profile and rebuild it while you've been having troubles?

@XfinityBradM I don't think I've done that. Should I try making a new profile?
