Hello @user_oo8srt, and thanks for posting on our Community Forum! We've had other customers ask this same question before, and the steps below have helped them resolve the issue.
Disabling MAC address filtering depends on the make and model of your router, but in most cases you'll need to log in to your router's administrative settings. Here's how you can get started:
Connect to Your Router – Open a web browser and type in your router’s IP address (usually something like 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.0.1). If you’re not sure, you can find it on a sticker on your router or by checking your device’s network settings.
Log In – Enter your router’s username and password. If you haven’t changed them, they’re often set to “admin” and “password” by default, but it’s always good to check your router manual or ISP’s website if that doesn’t work.
Find the MAC Filtering Section – Look for a tab labeled Security, Advanced Settings, or Access Control (this varies by router model).
Disable MAC Filtering – If MAC filtering is enabled, there should be an option to turn it off. Select Disable and save your changes.
Reboot Your Router (if needed) – Some routers may require a reboot for changes to take effect.
If you're using Xfinity, you can also manage device access through our Xfinity app under the WiFi tab.
