MAC address filtering

My HP printer suddenly will not connect to my router.  How can I tell if MAC address filtering is enabled to either disable it or add the printer as a device?

The concern is not "Xfinity Home Security / Devices And Equipment" help related. Thread moved here to the proper help section for assistance.

Hello @john8306 thank you for reaching out to us regarding your HP printer ability to connect to your router, we would like to assist.

Usually, to enable MAC address you can follow this path: Choose Firewall > Advanced Settings > MAC Filtering, then check the Enable box to enable MAC Address Filtering for this device

Add device

You can add a device to MAC Filtering?
MAC filtering
  1. Go to your gateway settings.
  2. Enter the Modem Access Code found on the side of your gateway.
  3. Select Home Network > Mac Filtering.
  4. From the MAC Filtering Type dropdown, select Enabled.
  5. In Mac Filter Entry, either: Select your devices' MAC addresses. ...
  6. Select Add.
  7. Select Save.

I am having this same problem (I also have an HP printer). I just switched from my own modem/router to Xfinity's gateway after having too many service drops. I have tried adding the printer via WiFi protected setup (push button and PIN), manually adding the MAC address directly to the gateway site (10.0.0.1) by accessing Gateway > Connection > Wi-Fi > MAC Filter setting (I've tried both filtering modes "Allow" and Allow-All") as well as adding the MAC address to all of the wi-fi networks showing (2.4, 5.0 and 6.0) and nothing is working. The directions given above ("Choose Firewall > Advanced Settings..etc."), where do we enter this? This isn't the path in the gateway admin site.
