MAC Address filtering

I've had my printer on my Xfinity router for at least 2 years, and suddenly it won't let me print because it says my printer is failing the "MAC Address Filtering Check." I know a lot of people have asked for help on this. Can anyone tell me how to turn this off on my router so I can use my printer again? Very frustrating.

Hello, @user_b869bd - You've reached the right team for help! If you can’t identify your connected device in a device list, you may need to access the hostname or the Media Access Control (MAC) address in your device’s settings. If the default name displayed is a long string of numbers and letters, it's likely the MAC address. Here you can find steps to locate the MAC address for common devices which may help.

@XfinityThomasA And what do I do with this information? My error report tells me the MAC address, but the problem seems to be that "my router/access point has restrictions such as MAC address filtering." How do I turn this filtering off with my xfinity router?

@XfinityThomasA Nevermind! :) I went through and extensive reinstall of my printer's drivers and I got it to work! Thank goodness.
