low speed

Hi, I’m on the 2100 Mbps plan, but my modem isn’t getting the correct speeds.

I own my modem (Netgear CAX80), and it’s fully compatible with the plan.

The issue is that my modem is only being set up for around 300 Mbps, because all my speed tests cap at about 285 Mbps. That usually means the wrong speed file was applied.

Can you please check on your end that my modem is set to the correct speed for the 2100 Mbps plan, and resend the proper configuration to it?

Everything on my end is working fine — I just need the correct speed settings pushed to my modem.

Thank you.

volten8720 Thank you so much for reaching out for help with your speeds being lower than expected. That is quite a bit of a difference, and we would be more than happy to help. For the speed tests you are running, are you by chance using the troubleshooting option in the Xfinity app? I know not all customer-owned devices are compatible, but if it is and the speed discrepancy is picked up, it would be able to update the speed profile for you, saving you time and not having to wait around for us.

the app is not capable of changing speed profiles. that has to be done by a tech. my upload speed is better. my download speed s bit better gojng from 6 to 40 but my plan is 2100 up 300 down. down should be st least 200s.  its not my modem as i just got a new one upon advice of an xfinity tech. he said cables are fine in fsce hry hit thr upload speed up by fixing outside connection.
