It's probably a scam, an attempt to persuade you to give control of your equipment to a criminal. If an employee doesn't reply to your message here, Comcast Security Assurance should be able to answer your question. You can reach them at 1-888-565-4329 (from https://spa.xfinity.com/contact-us). Note that this is NOT one of the general customer service numbers.
The first-line reps there are sometimes not very helpful, so you may need to be persistent and keep at them until you get a satisfactory answer.

Hello, @user_3hbugz! Thank you for reaching out here about the call. @BruceW is correct that it is a scam. The team and website they listed are the correct team to report this to. There is also an alerts page on that same website that shows any scams we are aware of so you can be on the lookout too!
