localhost

I am trying to run programs from a console on an Ubuntu 22.02.1 operating system:

http://localhost:10000/ide/

I get an error:

upstream connect error or disconnect/reset before headers. reset reason: connection failure

And am wondering if the problem is the xfinity firewall since I have not had this problem before moving over to xfinity.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

For a test. Try disabling the Xfi Advanced Security feature as a work-around for now and see. It's buggy ! And there is currently no way for an end-user to be able to whitelist anything;

To disable the Advanced Security feature in xFi, select the Account icon from the top-left corner of the Overview tab on the xFi app and then select xFi Advanced Security. From here, select Disable under xFi Advanced Security and follow the on-screen prompts.

YMMV. Good luck !

Maybe try 127.0.0.1 instead of local host, I am about to upgrade to 22.* myself

Perhaps it's being blocked by Ubuntu's internal firewall - have you tried disabling it?

sudo ufw disable
