Linksys ea7300-rm ac1750 - better WiFi than the Xfinity Cisco DPC3941T?

So I stumbled into a Linksys ea7300-rm ac1750 for super cheap (remanufactured) - at first was just going to use it as a switch, but is it 'better' than the Xfinity supplied Cisco?

Would be using the Cisco in bridge mode and the Linksys with the router diabled (as we have voice too and can't get rid of the Cisco for the Voice part)

not really - my internet drops for about 30 seconds a few times a week but no one at Comcast will belive me  🙂

More like 'better' as in coverage / throughput.  (I'm on the 200 or 250 plan I believe).  One part of the house on the opposite end from the Xfinity router doesn't have quite enough signal for reliable WiFi calling on my Iphone

Maybe I will run a hardline to the new device through the basement and use it as a non-routing access point, and leave both on.

You’re the only one who’s going to be able to tell for sure if it’s “better” or not by how well it works for you. Try it and find out. Do you have any present issues with what you currently have?
