Lightning Strike Gateway Malfunction

Our residence was stuck by lightning last night and bright sparks came out of our xfinity internet gateway. We lost connect immediately afterwards and all indicator lights went off despite us still having power. We tried restarting the gateway manually but the lights still didn't turn on (not even the power indicator light), nor could we get a connection. 

I checked the outage map and it seemed that there might be a service outage in our area, but I believe the power light should turn on regardless. So I suspect the gateway was damaged. How should we handle/report our situation? Your help is greatly appreciated.

It's fried. Take it to your local Xfinity store for the fastest option, or ship it back for free via UPS and have them ship you another one. You can even get *home pickup*.
