Latency issues

Good afternoon,

I am having issues and I think it is with Comcasts Access Network nodes and significant congestion. I have quite unstable ping. I need low latency and somewhat stable ping, but during the hops within Comcasts access network, I am seeing unstable spikes in latency.

I tried to contact support and despite the constant upselling and being told I need this or that service, I managed to get a replacement gateway.

My home network is perfectly capable of supporting the 2GB speeds as well.

I am using 2.5gb network cars, running on a Unifi Max Router. (Which is also rated for 2.5) Using cat 6a cables brand new. Everything is connected via ethernet and my ping to router i 1ms.

I have exhausted every internal troubleshooting step suspect the issue is with Comcast's network and not my internal network.

A technician even replaced the line running from the utility pole and gave me a direct line to my apartment.

It looks like Hop 3 is where the latency originates from.

I am tired of calling support and just being upsold on something I dont need, I need real support from someone that actually knows more than just reading scripting and pushing products to me.

Please see below for the results of my Traceroute Test.

Please Help!!

Hop 2   100.93.239.155
        Comcast access network
        ~9-11 ms in traceroute

Hop 3   96.110.171.157
        Comcast Bloomington
        observed spike: 82 ms → 238 ms

Hop 4   Comcast Kokomo
        ~28-29 ms

Hop 5+  Comcast / Chicago
        ~30-36 ms

Destination 1.1.1.1
observed spikes up to 263-484 ms
