Laptop won't recognize my Xfinity wifi, but my other devices will

I have a personal laptop, a work laptop, and a cell phone, all of which have been connected to my Xfinity home wifi. About a week ago, my personal laptop stopped connecting to my home wifi and even showing my home wifi network on the list.

I am still using my home network on my cell and on my other computer. I have also power-cycled the router; that isn't the issue either.

I have downloaded all current wifi/connectivity drivers from Dell and Intel and rebooted my computer. I also told the computer to forget my wifi network and manually re-added it with my Xfinity security key, security type WPA2-Personal AES, and told it to connect automatically.

My router has never showed up as a "device" on either computer, so that can't be the issue either.

My computer can still connect to my cell phone (wifi tethering/mobile hotspot), and it still shows my neighbor's wifi on the available network list.

Please, do you have any advice?

Did this happen recently? If so, what changed?

The two WiFi bands have recently been combined into one with the Comcast gateway devices. Some devices get confused and don't know how to see / talk to combined bands.

If you are not using any Xfi Pods, you can try separating the 2.4 and the 5.0 bands and give them two different broadcast names / SSID's;

Set the channel in the modem/router to 6.

After restarting the modem, spending 3.5 hours on the phone with tech support, etc. etc. etc., we finally came across someone saying set the router/modem channel to 6 (Dell doesn't recognize 10 or 11). Instead of having it set to: Detect channel AUTOMATICALLY, we switched it to 6 and the problem was resolved instantly.
