Laptop won't connect to XFinity modem

My laptop doesn't see our network after having a brand new modem installed once our last one broke. Our other HP laptop does see it, our TV sees it, phones see it, but not my ASUS laptop. I can see other networks, but not mine. Do you know why this might happen or how I may fix it?

Hello, @user_2ccc77, I'm sorry your ASUS laptop is not seeing your network. Are you able to let us know what modem you have (Make and Model) and if you can log into the modem? This could be an issue with the ASUS PC but it's strange it sees all other networks. I would log into the modem and make sure both your 5.0 GHz network and 2.4 GHz network are broadcasting.

See if this applies;

The two WiFi bands have recently been combined into one with the Comcast gateway devices. Some devices get confused and don't know how to see / talk to combined bands.

If you are not using any Xfi Pods, you can try separating the 2.4 and the 5.0 bands and give them two different broadcast names / SSID's;

Associate the laptop with the 2.4 or the 5.0 (whichever one works) band's SSID (broadcast name) and password.
