Lagging on Valorant (not sure on web because its harder to tell)

Issue:
I moved to a new address and started to have moments (once/twice every minute or so) where the game lags so much that it freezes for 2-3 seconds before being playable again.

Steps taken:
I contacted XFINITY via phone, and they helped change the signal to a better signal. However, it didn't fix the issue.

Potential causes:
1. The hardware setup on the current APT might be worse than past APT (same gateway and cables but maybe the hardware on the APT itself (cables inside walls, etc) could be the cause(?))
2. New issues between XFINITY and RIOT Server that started happening recently(?)

Question:
I was wondering what I can do to resolve this issue because I feel like I don't get the reliable internet I paid for.

Thanks for the help!

@rusunited2 Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums. I can understand the frustration if you are experiencing service issues, especially while gaming. Just to confirm are the connection issues happening only when you are playing Valorant? Have you tried any troubleshooting, such as making sure that the coaxial cables are secure and both the modem and the wall plate or troubleshooting via our amazing Xfinity app?

I have checked via the app, via the web testing from the Xfinity website, and called Xfinity Hotline and asked for help (they said they sent me a better signal). I'm unsure if the issue is only with Valorant because YouTube videos or general browsing isn't a good way to experience an intermittent connection (especially one that happens for 2-3 seconds at a time).

Thank you so much for this information. Have you tried to release and renew your IP Address? Common symptoms that you are experiencing can sometimes be fixed by releasing and renewing the IP address.
