Lagging in games/internet slow to work/higher than usual latency
I have a bulk account through my apartment that's 200 Mbps and for the past 6 months I've lived here I've had no issues. For about a week now however I've been getting really strange lag. I play League of Legends (think: each game is 20-50 mins long), so the first game I'll play in a day won't lag, but the next one does, and then the one after that doesn't... it's really strange and inconsistent and hard to track.
When I ping the League NA server most of my packets go through but there is request time out sometimes.
I've tried resetting the gateway, restarting my modem, restarting my computer, updating drivers, etc. I use an ethernet cable, my modem is fairly new, and I have never experienced such inconsistent ping. Though the jitter/ping isn't normally by much, it still has a big effect on how my games go, and yesterday I completely disconnected during a really bad lag spike.
I'm just not sure if it's an issue on my end or Comcast's.
When I look up the error logs through my router, I see a lot of T3 - timed out messages. Also, the connection to my modem & to the wall are both secure and tight, but I notice the green light in the ethernet port on the modem is blinking rapidly, but on my computer's adapter the ethernet light is a solid green.
