Just received new xfinity modem and received new public IP now my ip timing out when port 443 is open

I have been running a volunteer based web application from my own server and since I received my new modem I cannot browse to it anymore.

Do I need to ask xfinity to re-establish my public IP - it is not resolving to my modem - ports opened correctly - dynamic dns service provider set correctly - advanced security is off -

Dynamic DNS will take a while to propagate around the world.  That's whatever "Expire" time in seconds you set in your SOA record for the domain at the parent (hosting company), or at your dynamic DNS provider if you can set it there.   Depends on who does the "notify" on a serial number change, and when.

Some servers will pick it up immediately if the domain name isn't currently in their cache.   You can try to help other public servers with nslookup or dig lookups for your domain name asking their servers.  You can try a DNS propagation tool online to see the progress too.

Can you get to your web application if you just use the current IP address -- https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:443/index-or-whatever)?  Not domain name you use for it, use the IP address just to verify the port is open.  That's another common xfinity firmware issue.   Use a phone NOT on your network.

Remember your certificate is going to be broken too with the new IP address.  Modern browsers will complain bitterly about that.  Perhaps refuse to connect to it too.
