Issues with devices connecting after temporarily switching router from WPA3 to WPA2

Hello, last night I was trying to get my printer to connect to my wifi. It would not connect whatsoever, until I found someone on a forum saying that the issue is that the printer needs the router temporoa set to WPA2 to connect to it. I switched it quick to connect it. Which worked. However after switchingy router back to WPA3, anything connected to my WiFi was kicked off and with the exception of my phone, I was not able to get any other devices connected. Specifically, two of my tv’s and my Lenovo smart clock.

My TV has my wifi network pop up, and when I go to connect to it, it has me enter my password like a usual first time connection, but after I hit enter it just tells me that it cannot connect. My smart clock is set up through the google home app, and when I attempt to set it up, my network does not even pop up as an available network. All three of these devices do NOT have a “forget device” type of feature. At least not that I can find on the devices themselves.

I have restarted my router a few times to no avail. The only device that will connect to the wifi now is my phone, after I did the “forget this network” option and reconnected to it as if it was the first time connecting.

Just a thought. If this is a Xfinity-rented gatway device, when you switched back, did you choose "WPA3 Transition" rather than just "WPA3" ?

No, I selected the WPA3-personal, which the setting was always on beforehand.

Thank you for reaching out @colin610 I am sorry to hear these devices aren't connecting. Have you tried to update your network name and password and connect your devices with the new network and password?

It needs to be set to WPA3-Personal-Transition, as EG said. Good luck and hopefully you get it figured out.
