Issues disabling xfinitywifi

I would like to disable the public xfinitywifi hotspot that is being broadcast from my gateway modem. I am unable to toggle it off within the xfinity app or the xfinity website. The customer service line wasn't particularly helpful, and I have tried most of the things listed on this forum to no success. I'll probably end up cancelling the service, I'm not interested in having an unsecured wifi network in my home despite Comcast's claims of security.

Hello @user_45ldiq We'd be happy to assist you with disabling the hotspot access. When trying through the app are you getting an error? If not how far into the process below do you get before running into issues?

Hi Matthew, thank you for your fast response! It turns out I was in error, one of my neighbors started using Xfinity now right around when I started using the service, the errant xfinitywifi public signal is from their modem. Apologies for the frustration, and thank you again for your fast response!
