Issues connecting more devices to WiFi

I had connected a lot of devices to the WiFi, more than 40 with no issues (mainly KASA light switches). Now I'm in a point where I can not add any additional device to the WiFi. I had tried removing one device and I was able to connect the new device but the old one not able to connect. Also some connected device like a google assistant, my iPad and one TV sometimes disconnects and reconnects by themselves. Currently Tried to add new KASA light switches and not able to do that. what Can I do? Is there a limitation of number of WiFi devices connected to my Network?

The router that you are using may very well have a limit on the number of active clients.  Is it one provided by xfinity?  If so, you should be aware that *ANY* hardware provided by *ANY* ISP is not very good.  They are designed to operate at the lowest possible level so as not to cause any issues with people not knowing how to set up a network.  If you exceed the number of clients that your hardware can manage, there really isn't a lot you can do.  Your best bet would be to buy your own hardware and subnet; a separate network for your lights, a separate network for your computers and TV, etc.  This will require some planning on your part, but in the long run you will be able to have as many clients as you wish, and will be able to manage them far more easily and efficiently with your own hardware.

Thank you for your answer. Yes, I have a Xfinity router. Could you recommend a router brand and model that I could acquire?

Thank you again

Hello @user_aaab6d, thanks for reaching out for help on our forums! Do you have all these devices connected on the same network or do you have certain ones connected on different networks such as the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz ones?

All devices are connected to the same network that is a 2.4/5G network. When I tried to separate in 2 networks things were worst. I had already purchased a new router but not installed yet

Thank you for filling me in, when will you be installing your new router? This can definitely help narrow the cause (if that is it).
