Issue with Xfinity XB7 – IPv4 keeps dropping
After a recent outage, my XB7-T gateway only works for 15–30 minutes after a factory reset before IPv4 drops (WAN IP goes back to 0.0.0.0). IPv6 stays up, so sites like Google/YouTube/Cloudflare work, but most of the internet is unreachable.
The worst part is there’s no real tech support in this company. Everything is outsourced to India and I just get the same useless scripted answers about Wi-Fi settings that AI assistant is giving instead of someone actually fixing provisioning.

I apologize for the continued trouble you're having and the frustration you've experienced with our support processes. It sounds like you've done a lot of troubleshooting. If you are still experiencing issues, send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.
To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.
