ISP's DHCP did not function properly

@ComcastChe

I'm getting the well-known ASUS router's ISP DHCP did not function properly error.  Lose connectivity and generally requires a cable modem reboot to get it back.

Previously chatted with Comcast support and they were unsuccessful at provisioning the modem.

Would you kindly be able to work with me.  I will PM you with name, service address, cable modem MAC address, etc. after you reply.

Out of curiosity, does changing the MAC address of the router help? After a modem reboot, that should force a fully fresh DHCP call instead of trying to renew it's previous IP.

On my 68U, it's in the WAN settings. You can type in an address (you can try finding the router's own address, but altering one digit), or do a clone to copy your computer's MAC. Once you apply it and reboot everything, does it work?
