Is the Arris S34 a supported cable modem

I noticed that the Arris S34 is on the Other compatible equipment, https://www.xfinity.com/support/internet/customerowned, and at the same time I noticed a number of users comments about connecting issues with their Xfinity service both on this forum and the internet. Is this modem supported?

I plan to upgrade to just a TV/Internet bundle eliminating the voice component of my exist TV/Internet/Voice bundle as there doesn't seem to be a compatible voice modem. The listed Netgear CM2050V is listed as end of service by Netgear.

Thank you.

user_5bzrl9 Hello, the modems on the URL you provided is what we would consider equipment that would satisfy our speed demands. Our new promotions include the modem, if you would like to by pass having to worry if it's compatible or not. I am happy to look at promotions you are eligible for as well.

Thanks for the kind offer but I prefer to use my own equipment.

XfintyVictor thank you. I talked to an agent on Friday and she found a plan that is listed in my account record. I just needed to confirm the Arris S34 would work (check) and then get one so I can change my plan (in the works).

@user_5bzrl9 I'm glad to hear you were able to get this started over the phone. I would be more than happy to review your account to check on the status of that order if you'd like.

... The listed Netgear CM2050V is listed as end of service by Netgear. ...

That was a temporary glitch which has since been corrected. The 2050V is NOT EOS by Netgear, see https://www.netgear.com/about/eos/#search-eos:

The product you searched has not yet reached the Last Sale Date and therefore has at least three years remaining for functional and cyber security updates. We encourage you to check back periodically. Read our full policy for details

And Comcast/Xfinity still lists it as Compatible with plan speeds up to 2.32 Gbps, with enhanced upload speeds, and with their Voice home telephone service.
