Is my router modem really broken?

Apparently my Netgear modem router (C7000v2) doesn't work anymore. Seems responsive when rebooting with the flashing lights, but then the lights stay lit-only after the reboot period---indicating nothing is happening.

Pushing the reset button for 7+ seconds doesn't do anything.  But pushing reset while plugging power back in, did do a "reset".

I can't login or connect.

Is there any possibility an older or newer firmware could fix this problem? And would tech support do this?

Thanks for any answers.

I've discovered if I reset without the cable plugged in, I can login to my router modem.  The router seems fine.  I don't know what's happening with the cable plugged in.  I knew my router modem seemed to be working to some degree. I'm guessing 100% but maybe there's something wrong with sending & receiving data.

I turned off router mode & in disbelief the internet is available---in wired form only.

I now have to figure out if I can attach an old router to get wireless?

My internet went out yesterday and technician came by today.Yes my C7000v2 stopped working. they hooked up one of their [Edited: "Language"] modem/routers and everything  works fine. Has to be a firmware update by either netgear or xfinity. They are still reporting outages in my area affecting 500 + but I bet it's all nighthawk users.

Technician had really no clue about anything other than it's my equipments fault..

The outage for my area was 1000-2000. But it could be its not related.

I'll post my firmware & hardware version tonight for what it's worth.

I've had my dsl combo break the opposite way where the modem side broke.  I tried to use that as a  router to get wifi, but couldn't.
