Typically, your MoCA network should be turned off by default. There are some things that can impact whether it has been disabled. If you don't mind me asking, where are you seeing it's been disabled, and are you experiencing any issues with your services?
The Xi6 box would not show up on a MoCA network and connect via WiFi to the gateway. The older model boxes connected to the gateway through the MoCA network. That Xi6 should not have enabled that network.

FWIW. If it's enabled, and if you don't have a MoCA Point of Entry filter on your coax line, you could get unwanted neighbors on your home network.
