Is Arris SB6141 end of life?

I've been reading every post on the SB6141 and was wondering if there is an official answer. Is it EOL and will it stop working on Xfinity soon?

I know its a very old modem, but it can easily handle the speeds my current internet package provides (50/5). I have read its not end of life if you bought the retail version, and only EOL for the rental units from Xfinity. However when I go on xfinity device support its listed as " this device is not supported" . Included a screenshot with the link below. However when I go to the status of my account I see all green check marks.

If I go to Arris website they no longer list the SB6141 under products page and they no longer sell that model. However when I go to the discontinued modems i'ts also not listed there. It seems like it's in limbo.

There are other 8x4 modems that are on the approved list from xfinity, like the cm500. Just looking to see if we can get an official answer or is it just going to be a keep using it till it stops working type thing?

Hello, @user_4337d8 thank you so much for posting your question here in our Xfinity Community Forums support page! This is a great question, and I know with how fast technology is changing and improving it can be hard to know what equipment is compatible.

You can always use our [device information website](https://comca.st/3gePsLm) to see what modems are compatible with our services. All you need to do is enter in your address and the internet speeds you subscribe to and it will populate third-party devices that will work with our services.

When reviewing the SB6141 equipment it does appear that it is no longer compatible with our services. You can also learn more about EOL modems [here](https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/end-of-life-devices)
