IPV6 prefix issues
For the past couple of years, I used an ARRIS surfboard modem. Rock solid, barely had issues. My home network is fully dual-stack with subnetted vlans. I had a IPv6 prefix with a /60 block.
Recently I was informed that the ARRIS wasn't approved for the new Gigabit speeds and I need to upgrade. I've switched to an MB8611.
Now, my IPv4 is working fine. However, I cannot get my prefix back. I can't even get a new prefix. When using DHCPv6, I get assigned a single /128 IPv6, so only my router can use it for internet. If I statically set it to any other size /64, /60, /80, etc, I lose any IPv6 connectivity.
Is there any way for me to get a prefix? I'd prefer my old one back but I'll settle for a new one if I can actually get a block at all.

Take notes on that "private conversation" and get back to us here. I'd love to hear the answer.
/64 seems to be the "only" way I can make it work regardless of what I request/hint for, and may be just how they do it. DHCP6 with DHCP for a WAN sort of works, until it doesn't, and likes to time out trying to find a server frequently. "Track Interface" could be an option. So could requesting info from a DHCP6 server over IPV4, but nobody seems to want to tell any of us what the comcast implementation should be.

I have the same issue here. Up until few days ago I was getting 60-bit prefix. Now nothing works anymore. I'm using the Xfinity's modem. When switched to bridge mode, the modem doesn't even respond to dhcpv6 solicit requests so my router doesn't get ipv6 address.
