IPv4 wrong location?
I Have xfinity wifi at my home. All baseball season I have listened to Yankees games on WFAN on my alexa device with Audacy. About a month ago , the app started playing a random sports show instead of the Yankee game, same with Mets games on 880am on the Audacy app. Audacy said the problem is my IPv4 location is showing that I am located in Boston and Boston is not in the playable area for those games. I do not live in Boston, I live in Connecticut. I am assuming what happened was Comcast updated my IP location last month and it now says i am located in Boston (150 miles away). How do i get my IP to show i live in Connecticut so i can listen to games on Audacy again?

Most likely, comcast moved some IPs around that was used in that location, I had the same issue a few years ago, I tried calling support, to say they were less than clueless is a understatement. I tried filing updates at a few GEO IP locations sites, either my reports or comcast sent updates, but it still took 6-9 for most locations to update. Now lately my IPV4 vs IPV6 locations show me about 150 miles apart, Good luck

You likely received a new / different WAN (public) IP address assigned to your connection from their DHCP server / IP address pool, and the rDNS / geolocation data that is associated with it is now incorrect for you as it previously belonged to someone else that lived in that other area. Comcast shuffles blocks of IP addresses around the country all the time.
ISP's don't correct this. A third-party service does. Unfortunately, this is typically a *back-burner* thing to get corrected. The only thing that you can do is to report it.

Wait for the geolocation provider to approve your request. If your request is approved, the amount of time it takes to see the correction varies by provider. The average is a month or more.
You could also see if this tip applies;
If you are using a router that has a MAC address cloning feature, you can clone a different MAC address in to it. This will force a change of your Comcast assigned WAN / public IP address. But be advised that the new IP may be from the very same block of IP's and still have incorrect geolocation / rDNS information.
Good luck !
