IPv4 stopped working after Xfinity outage
I’ve been through several techs and many many resets. I even got a new modem, which has the same issues as the old one.
My new XB8 assigns valid local IPv4 addresses, but IPv4-only internet connections time out across multiple devices. IPv6 works. All TVs connect to WiFi but cannot get online. Need help escalating remotely, on-site techs scheduling is almost one week wait time…

For those interested and have similar symptoms. This is an Xfinity problem. Us and neighbors had to complain enough for them to declare an outage. Took them another day to fix.
