iPhone won’t automatically reconnect to Wi-Fi with x I gateway

Since upgrading to an Xbox gateway, our iPhones and iPads won’t reconnect automatically when re-entering the Wi-Fi zone.  The gateway was swapped out again yesterday.  iPhones are up to date with software and have reset the network completely.  Devices are set to connect automatically.  What are the next steps to resolve this?  I have to forget the network every time and re enter the password.

Is this an XB8? If so, I’d be willing to bet that the issue is related to the Security Mode. Go into the Xfinity app, tap on the WiFi tab at the bottom. Then tap on WiFi details, followed by Edit WiFi settings. Ensure that Security mode is set to WPA3-Personal-Transition. Also ensure that all three bands are combined, using the same SSID (network name) and password. Power cycle the XB8. While it’s restarting, completely forget all instances of your home WiFi from your Apple devices, and then power cycle your Apple devices. After everything is fully online, join your network with a fresh connection.

See whether that resolves the issues.

I followed the steps provided by USER_323c89 exactly as stated and the WIFI has been rock solid since last week.  I would suggest that this issue/solution be published to the online help support and the field service folks so they can provide a better service experience to your customers.

@EG  this is an all too common issue with an easy solution. Unfortunately the solution is unknown to most.

On your iPhone, go into settings and disable "Random MAC Address".  Apple will lie to you and tell you that this makes your phone more secure.  It only makes it much more difficult to maintain a connection with your home network.
