Internet/wifi connection and streaming

We recently dropped our Xfinity cable service so we could stream.  We kept our internet and upgrade to 300 something.  We can stream on the main tv  on the same floor in the house as the modem using the wifi. We are having trouble streaming on a tv on an upper level in our house.  Do we need to add something to that tv?  I can use the wifi in that room for a phone or ipad and the test shows we are connected to wifi.The tv is a smart tv so we thought we could hook up just like the main level tv.

Any suggestions?

What make/model TV's do you have?  How are you (trying) streaming on your TV's?  Have you downloaded an Xfinity Stream app from the TV Mfr's content store?

Some tips for improving WiFi performance;

There are other options. Google for WiFi repeaters / range extenders, WiFi mesh systems / pods, powerline ethernet adapters, MoCA adapters. Good luck !
