Can you tell me a little more about what your inquiry? Are you looking to upgrade your gateway, or have you been experiencing issues with your connection recently? You can find a full description for all of our gateways on our support site at https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/broadband-gateways-userguides.
The XB10 is our newest gateway, with Unified DOCSIS 4.0 technology and WiFi 7. This gateway is currently only available for areas that have been upgraded to the full duplex standard with synchronous download and upload speeds. If you are in one of these areas, I would definitely encourage you to upgrade.
The newest gateway for everywhere else is our XB8. It has DOCSIS 3.1 technology and WiFi 6. This gateway is recommended for connections at 1 Gigabit and higher. It can provide enhanced upload speeds if your area has been upgraded to our Next Generation, Mid-Split Internet standard, but will also perform well in all legacy setups. If you have 1 Gig Internet, but are not using an XB8, you will probably notice an improvement if you upgrade. The XB8 will also allow you to utilize our new WiFi Shield features, including Dark Watch, CyberSecure, and WiFi Motion.
