Internet Stops Working When Cold
Live in Indiana. It has just became cold. My internet has been going out whenever it becomes cold outside and comes back on when it is slightly above freezing. I'm getting frustrated, because I can't even get this complaint in front of someone until a technician comes out. And when he comes out he will probably have to try 10 other steps before getting to the actual problem, which I assume is the cable line running from the pole to my house. My wife and I need internet for our jobs and I hope Xfinity was more responsive to issues.

Hello user_ejh0mx thank you so much for taking the time to reach us here via out Xfinity Forums! Are these issues still persistent? We have excellent resources here that can help in self-troubleshooting, and is very useful information when sending out a technician.
ANSWERED: Tips for troubleshooting your Xfinity Internet connection
How long do the issues last when they come on? Is your modem resetting when these issues occur, or are devices just not able to connect? Does this affect all devices in the home?

Same issue here in IL. Did all the trouble shooting had a tech out twice said nothing they could do since it showed everything was working on their end. The weather warmed up, and my service is back to normal. Now that I know this is what happens, I purchased a back up internet plan from my cell phone carrier. Glad I did so now I have 2 options.
