Internet speed
I just switched to Xfinity and my installation was done yesterday. I am supposed to be receiving 1.2 gig in download speeds and am only getting 485 mbps max on speed tests. Xfinity says that everything looks good on their end as far as the speed. With my old provider, my Speedtest results always showed the download speed I was paying for. What is going on?

Are you using the same computer, phone, tablet, etc? From my speed tests, results are usually different on different devices. In my testing, my cell phone is always faster than my laptops. Different laptops show different speeds as well as desktop showing different speeds.
Note, this is using my comcast gateway's wifi.

Can you tell me more about your connection setup?
Do you have a separate router?
Do you rent our modem or own your own?
Have you rebooted your modem recently?
Can you check all the connections to ensure everything is finger tight and secure?
Do you have any additional devices connected such as a separate router, Wi-Fi extenders, splitters or amplifier connected?
Are you using a VPN with your connection?
