internet speed

Just changed plan from the 75 MGPS to the 200 MGPS.

The Rep said thatshe would change to the higher speed within minutes.

I have not noticed any speed increase and it has been 24 hrs. I also had the flex box for the 75 MGPS connected. Should receive another for the higher speed today. One person told me that I would not really realize the increased speed until the new box was connected.....ture of false?

Any suggestions?

The real question is what are you doing with it? If its just a single human on a TV... Not much change. However if your doing remote administration, high volume data transfer, or just gameing sometimes when it comes to downloads you will notice the bump. It also depends on whom you're trying to connect to and what their outbound server speed is and what the weight of the traffic is in the area. Heavy usage times will drag any connection in the area down to about the same speed. However under the right conditions you will see that "up to 200mbps" you really paid for. Its not a dedicated line. Most residential connections aren't.

The speeds have nothing directly to do with the Flex Box so that is false. Have you power cycled the modem lately ?
